You can learn to improvise! In VT-1 you will be introduced to the fundamentals of improvised performance in a fun and challenging group class. We will get you out of your shell and onto the stage through exercises in acting, agreement, listening, confidence, and scene work. You will come out of VT-1 with a solid foundation of skills that improve your acting, public speaking, and everyday life.

This class ends with a live graduation performance.

VT-3: Performance Intensive takes your improv journey to the next level. In this 8-week course, students will be introduced to 4 classic improv shows - the “LaRonde”, the “Monoscene”, Short-Form, and “YAS”. Students of VT-3 are required to perform every 2 weeks on Tuesdays during Tuesday Night Improv Show. This class guides students in thinking of improv shows as a whole, cohesive story while getting them onstage on a regular basis and preparing students to join the Villain Theater Company.

Pre-requisites: Completion of VT-1: Improv Foundations and VT-2: Scene Work. No exceptions.

The team, the team, the team.

Collaborating and building shows together with your very own improv team requires communication and time. Learn what it takes to build a show on the fly and value each others ideas as your own. In this 8 week course you will join a group of performers to prepare to join the Villain Theater professional company by performing weekly on Tuesday nights at 8:30pm, in addition to classes on Monday nights.

Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1, VT-2, VT-3, and instructor approval.

Mandatory class/performance attendance. Student must attend at least 80% of scheduled classes and shows to be eligible to audition into the Villain Theater Company.
